ELBERT COUNTY CHARTER SCHOOL
Elizabeth, CO
Elizabeth, CO
This Grade 1-6 charter school was constructed in a disused strip mall. The
storefront was used for daylighting, and the access was developed along
an inner corridor. Each classroom was designed with its own unique
entry. Much of the construction, and artwork, was volunteered by
parents. The cost was $80,000, and the project was completed in 1998.
Later phases of the project included a kindergarten, a two-classroom
middle school and a four-classroom high school. Responsibilities: Architect, Primary
Architectural/Interior Designer, Lighting Designer.
