The first J. Bildner & Sons gourmet food store was constructed in the lower level of the 1892 Oliver Ames Mansion in Boston's Back Bay. Following the model of European neighborhood grocery stores, J. Bildner & Sons offered a limited selection of quality foods for an upscale urban clientele. The work required the removal of several bearing walls, reconstruction of the floor, and the construction of a full kitchen in a sub-basement.   Responsibilities: Interior Designer, Lighting Designer, Store Planner.
